Several weeks ago, the word persistence was resonating in my spirit. It could have been due to me contemplating what I want to accomplish this year. I set 6 goals for myself and I didn’t want to repeat the lack of persistence that I exhibited in some areas of the 2018 goals. The goals for this year are attainable, however, they will be challenging because of my perception of me. Do you know we can be harder on ourselves than anyone else?
One of my goals is to eat healthier and for me that’s a challenge but I am determined to keep moving forward in that direction. You don’t give up you keep moving and pushing forward in your journey. Sometimes it may require a different direction to get there but the key is to keep moving and that means be diligent. The plan of action for me this year is to continue until I see the progress.
How many of us know that there is more for our lives than we have experienced? You know where you want to be and what you want to accomplish. It’s all in your mind but it hasn’t manifested, or you haven’t explored the possibilities. We must embrace an optimistic attitude, believe that there will be a successful end to the journey and believe what can be accomplished. This year I heard the faith filled goals that some family members and friends have expressed, they are on their journey with determination and persistence.
Martin Luther King, Jr. said “If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run then walk if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward”
Will there be set backs, of course that’s part of life, do we have to stay in that place, no we don’t! Don’t let those things that go wrong be the catalyst for keeping you from moving forward. Anyone who is successful had setbacks.
Mary Anne Radmacher said “Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it’s the quiet voice at the end of the day whispering I will try again tomorrow.”
If you don’t have a cheer leader, be your own! Get the affirmation that speaks to you, confess it and believe it. It will make a difference on the journey.
