Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1
Have you ever found yourself with so many task and wondered how it happened? The more you thought about your “to do list” you became overwhelmed, fearful and anxious. Where did all this come from? Well, it came from life! There are so many connectors attached to life until it can be hard to find a way out, you are surrounded.
The strange thing about life is that you don’t realize how much you are connected to people or things until you start to unravel (mentally or physically). Once the signs of unraveling become visible to those around you, everyone began to walk on tippy toes in your presence.
Stop! Realize that you are only one person and you are not an island. Put the mechanisms in place that will safe-guard your mental and physical state.
Engage in what is needed for the moment, shelf what you can and don’t be rushed. Slow down! Don’t fool yourself you know when you are feeling overwhelmed, fearful or anxious.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34 NIV
BE PRESENT by engaging, appreciating and interacting, one task at a time. Things and people have to wait in line. Make a list of your task and prioritize them. Take one at a time and be all the way present in it. If you can, incorporate feelings of thankfulness and gratitude as you complete the task. Remember, it will all work out.
