Have you ever been distracted while you were attempting to complete a task? Maybe you were cooking dinner, and you answered the telephone, leaving the meal on the burner, which caused the food to singe? Or, perhaps you were trying to complete a task at work, and your boss directed you to immediately complete a different task? These moments in life are what we consider to be distractions. A distraction is something designed to avert your attention from completing a task. They happen all of the time in the natural. In this Christian walk, I have learned that the enemy disguises himself in the form of distractions to avert the attention of God’s people. He uses distractions to cause warfare in the spirit realm. These tactics are specifically created to ware-down your spirit man, so that you will lose focus from God’s plan and purpose for your life. Often times, the enemy tries to distract you by bringing up your past in order to taunt you, and will use your current circumstance to cause fear which intends to paralyze you moving towards your future. Oh beloved, but now is the time to open up your spiritual lenses in order to see each and every plot, scheme, and plan of the enemy to distract you from receiving God’s best for your life. Now is the time to place God’s Holy Word on the distraction and to trust that You are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Now is the time to remind yourself, who you are and whose you are because Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world (1 John 4:4). Now that you know that it is only a distraction, press forward, keep moving, refocus, and complete the task that God has given to you.
Be Blessed.
