In our January meeting, the topic was “What’s Next,” and we explored some of the victories and challenges that come with preparing for the new year.
“What’s next?”
When we ask that, two things are certain: life doesn’t pause, and time doesn’t wait. No matter your age, your background, or your current mental space, “What’s Next” is always calling. For some of us, answering that call means a radical life change; for others, it’s simply about taking one small, brave step forward.
The Reality of the Season
We are all sitting in different chairs today.
- The Season of Peace: Some of you have pushed through the fire and found steady ground. If that’s you, don’t leave your sisters behind. We need your light.
- The Season of Necessity: Others are asking “What’s next” because you have to. You’re navigating job loss, health battles, family strain, or the long road of recovery.
- The Season of Momentum: And some of you had a mountain-top 2025 and are simply looking to keep that fire burning in your faith, your finances, and your health.
Moving Beyond the Poster Board
We love our resolutions, but if we’re honest, we need more than a poster board and a Sharpie. We need clarity.
I’ve realized I never want to build a future based solely on my own strength. Why? Because my strength wasn’t designed to carry the weight of a “shaky beginning” or a “messy middle.” But God’s strength can.
“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” — Deuteronomy 31:8
We need the Lord to go before us in 2026 because He already knows the end from the beginning. He is the Author of the seasons, and He isn’t surprised by your “messy middle.”
Walking in Your Truth
If you feel stuck, anxious, or pressured to “work harder,” remember this: the answer isn’t more hustle; it’s more alignment.
When you align yourself with the promise that you are not alone, you move from a place of panic to a place of peace. Whether your goals are financial, physical, or relational, you aren’t walking toward them in the dark.
Reflection: Where Are You Heading?
Take a moment to look at the four pillars of our lives. In which area are you most loudly asking, “What’s next?”
- Health & Wellness: Are you ready to move from just surviving to truly thriving?
- Financial Wisdom: Are you seeking freedom from debt or better stewardship?
- Personal Growth: Is it time to organize the chaos or finally learn that skill you’ve put off?
- Relationships: Are you looking to deepen connections and finally find your “tribe”?
We don’t have to see the whole staircase. We just need to see the next step.
Anchors for the Journey
When the “What’s Next” feels foggy, hold onto these truths:
- For Direction: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… He will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5–6)
- For the Hard Days: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
- For Your Future: “For I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Where are you right now? And more importantly… where are we going next?
