“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 ESV

It is here! The day we can honor our father and say thank you. Father’s Day does not get the attention provided to mothers on Mother’s Day, and it may be because the bond of motherhood is strong, and fathers, at times, must add additional work to get the results they want from the relationship with their children. It means the contribution they put in will have an unforgettable impact.
Some people do not know what it feels like to have a father or male influence in their home or life. They learn how to maneuver through life challenges, relying on their mother and other people God put in their lives. But for those who have fathers, they can say, thank you for not leaving when it gets tough, thank you for providing when your resources are low. Thank you for encouraging me when I was about to give up and could not find another solution; you brought clarity. Thank you for showing me how to manage challenges that could have mentally destroyed me. Thank you for showing me what loyal friends look like. Thank you for the conversations we had that shaped who I am. Thank you for loving me when there is no genetic connection to me, but you provided. Thank you for showing me how to pray and trust God. Thank you for being strong, courageous, fearless, trusting God, and loving me when I had nothing to give back.
